Owner of Stent Safety Solutions
The Foundation: Years in the Trade
My career in Health and Safety is unique because it began with years of extensive, hands-on experience in the industries I now advise. I spent over 25 years working directly as a highly skilled engineer and certified welder in the demanding worlds of fabrication, mechanical engineering, and metalwork. This isn't theoretical experience; I have personally operated the machinery, conducted the hot work, and faced the daily operational challenges that your teams manage. This background forms the bedrock of my safety philosophy.
Bridging the Gap: From Engineer to Advisor
I transitioned into Health and Safety because I have a deep passion for keeping people safe and a strong commitment to sharing information that genuinely helps people thrive in their roles. Having spent many years on the operational side, I understand the importance of passing on practical knowledge that resonates. I became a Certified Health and Safety Professional (holding the NEBOSH National General Certificate) and an Accredited Trainer (Level 3 AET RQF, & an Associate of the Society for Education and Training) to bring this practical knowledge and formal compliance together. My goal is simple: to implement effective solutions that are not only legally compliant but also enhance efficiency and are readily embraced by experienced engineering staff.
Working With Me: My Commitment to Your Safety
As a self-employed, freelance advisor, you work directly with me—a specialist whose background gives them an authentic understanding of mechanical and fabrication operations. I don't provide generic, one-size-fits-all templates. My commitment is to deliver pragmatic, targeted risk assessments, context-rich training, and scalable safety documentation that genuinely respects the operational demands of your industry and improves safety performance and efficiency across your projects in the UK.
